The sustainable attributes of HID card printers have been third-party certified by GreenCircle Certified, LLC and provide organizations with high-performance, energy-efficient photo ID printing solutions that support corporate sustainability initiatives and reduce costs. The certification process verified up to 42 percent energy savings for the BARMEL™ card printer. The default time for sleep mode is set at the factory to five minutes, and improvements in the printer's design reduce power consumption while in standby or sleep mode. Energy savings are calculated based on an evaluation of a comparable product currently on the market.

YMCKO color ribbon – 070216
BARMEL 070216 YMCKO ribbons consist of yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) panels to print a full spectrum of colors by combining colors with varying degrees of heat.
YMCKOK color ribbon – 070217
BARMEL 070216 YMCKOK ribbons, in addition to the yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) panels, add 2 overlapping panels of black and transparent resin for BARMEL card printer.
Monochrome K Ribbon – 070218
BARMEL's monochrome black (K) ribbons are primarily used for printing text and line art in one color on one or both sides of a PVC card.

The size of the CR80 card is 86X54X0.76mm, which is the standard and most widely used plastic card size.
